History
Built in the picturesque Cottage Orne style of the Trevalyn estate buildings of the village, said to have been constructed from bricks of a building demolished in 1805. Extended to rear later C19 and C20.  

Exterior
Pebbledash, brick, pebbledash chimneys. 2 storeys, Y shaped plan. Principal elevation is symmetrical with string course and plinth and a central semi-octagonal bay with arched entrance and later porch, above which is a window with an ogee head, other windows in this bay have similar pointed arches. 2 windows per floor on each side all have ogee heads. Some are blocked, others are generally multipaned cast iron casements with Gothick glazing. Rear elevations have similar windows, some blocked, some reproductions in wood. There are a number of mock arrow slits. Extension in matching style.  

Interior
Large entrance hall with stair with wreathed handrail and open string. Doorways with ogee heads lead off. Partial inspection at time of 1995 survey.  

Reason for designation
Listed as an early C19 house built in the picturesque style of the Trevalyn Estate buildings of Marford, which retains good interior features.
