Location
Forms the centre-piece of the small garden village estate at Trelonydd, alongside the main road immediately N of the Presbyterian Church. The Memorial stands in a small chained enclosure backed by a low hedge.

Probably erected c1920, and likely to be contemporary with the layout of the small estate of which it forms the focal point.
Exterior
Ashlar; Celtic style cross on stepped base. Inscriptions in steps and plinth with a small bronze plaque mounted on the cross shaft. Wheel-head cross inscribed with Celtic interlace decoration.
Reason for designation
A good example of a War Memorial in a simple Celtic Revival style, which forms the centre-piece of a well-preserved small planned estate.
