Full Report for Listed Buildings
The list description is not intended to be a complete inventory of what is listed: it is principally intended to aid identification. By law, the definition of a listed building includes the entire building (i) and any structure or object that is fixed to the said building and ancillary to it and (ii) any other structure or object that forms part of the land and has done so since before 1 July 1948, and was within the curtilage of the building, and ancillary to it, on the date on which said building was first included in the list, or on 1 January 1969, whichever was later.

History
The lighthouse was erected in 1877 to mark the N end of Cardigan Bay. The keepers accommodation is contemporary with it. It is now disused.

Symmetrically laid out, with central entrance facing W (and blocked rear entrance). W elevation has central square porch with plain cornice and blocking course, and doorways in either side. 2 flanking windows to either side are 8-pane sashes (some now boarded over); similar 3-window return elevations. The building is built into the slope, and the rear elevation is partly below ground level, accessed by a narrow walkway: blocked central entrance, and an asymmetrical disposition of openings, with outer doorway and flanking window to the right, outer and central doors in left, with flanking windows.
Reason for designation
Listed as a significant part of the lighthouse complex, forming a coherent group with the tower.
