History
The style of the tomb suggests that it was erected at or soon after the first recorded date of 1815.
Exterior
Grey limestone ashlar. Classical style chest tomb with quarter pilasters with acanthus or plume caps at the corners. The panels on the long sides have inscriptions set in a frame of horizontal tooling. The oldest inscription is to Daniel Gilbert, died 1815. Flat capstone with moulded edges.
Reason for designation
Included as a good example of an early C19 chest tomb.
