Location
The building stands on the W side of the A548, approximately 40m N of the centre of Llangernyw village.
History
Built late C18 or early C19. Possibly former village slaughterhouse.
Exterior
Small, single storey, single cell gabled vernacular building rectangular on plan. Built of local stone random rubble with gabled Welsh slate roof with clayware ridge and slate verges and two projecting purlin-ends in each gable. Front elevation, facing E, has 8/8 double hung sash window under eaves and nailed boarded door with decorated iron strap hinges to N. N gable has small central blocked ventilation slit.
Interior
Interior not inspected at time of resurvey.
Reason for designation
Included as a prominent village building having group value with Llys Alaw and neighbouring listed buildings.
