Situated raised from street on terrace, opposite the Red Lion Inn.
History
Early C19 village house, marked on map in 1832 Danyrallt map book as part of Glasallt estate. Formerly known as Rose House. Said to have once been part of the adjacent Dyffryn House.
Exterior
House, colourwashed roughcast with close-eaved slate roof and colourwashed rendered end stacks, larger stack to left. Two storey, three-window range of large sashes, 6-pane, the outer panes narrow. Centre panelled door in roughcast gabled porch. Loft light in right end wall. Rubble stone colourwashed rear wall.
Interior
Said to have oak stairs and Regency style drawing room alcove.
Reason for designation
Included as a good late Georgian village house, of group value with the Red Lion opposite.
