History
Earlier C19 substantial barn range, marked on 1837 Tithe Map.
Exterior
Barn range, whitewashed rubble stone with slate roof. Possibly of 2 dates, the right end added. Left half has double doors under heavy oak lintel, and long vent loop each side. Right part has full-height double doors to left, and low arched entry to right, with brick arch, blocked for window and door. Outside steps to loft door on right end wall. A slate pentice projects from eaves on 4 timber brackets over both barn doors. Former cart-entry has much further projecting slated roof on metal posts, probably C20.
Reason for designation
Included as a good earlier C19 barn, the pentice roof over the doors a relatively rare feature in the county.
