History
Lychgate to the parish church dated 1903.
Exterior
Lychgate, open oak framed structure on 2 low rock-faced stone side walls, with slate roof. Walls are returned each end to frame oak bench seats and have chamfered red sandstone coping. Oak gates on W front. Similar detail to timber structure W and E, paired posts each side supporting broad cambered main tie beam, with shield boss to centre and brattishing. Carved spandrel pieces below and open framing above in gable. Roof overhangs with carved brackets under verges.
Reason for designation
Included as a well-constructed timber-framed lychgate, of group value with the parish church and the pound.
