In the street leading south-east out of the town square in the centre of Monmouth.
History
Early C19 front above a late C19 shopfront which replaced the previous public house frontage.
Exterior
Stucco fronted, with the roof hidden from the street. Three storeys, two windows, late C19 canted bays on first floor, C20 casements above. Late C19 shop front under common cornice with blocked door on left, and 4-panel door on right. Four pane shop windows with segmental arched panes. Parapet with inscription "THE AGINCOURT".
Rear elevation not seen.
Interior
Interior not inspected at resurvey, but said to retain a good Victorian Gothic staircase rising full height.
Reason for designation
Included for its special interest as an important historic building with fine overall shopfront in the Monmouth town centre.
