Former school is prominently situated on the E side of the main road on N side of village, built above high retaining wall.
History
Retaining wall to former National School erected 1856, probably designed by Roderick Williams of Aberystwyth, architect and builder. Now used as a community hall.
Exterior
High rubble stone wall, approximately 3 metres tall. Roadside wall is parallel to the frontage of the school. Thin slab tabling with copings above of rounded vertically-laid stone slabs. Wall returns for short distance to right, abutting later playground wall: similar copings, and central gateway. To right, retaining wall slopes to ground level, providing ramped entry to gate.
