History
The nucleus farm site of West Town, Llangennith; a house in this location (marked Rice Hay / Plenty), which is possibly this house, is shown on a map of 1752. Plenty is recorded in the Tithe Survey, 1844, as the tenancy of John Chalk, with about 10 acres (4.047 hectares).

Exterior
A small farmhouse of two storeys with three window range to front elevation. Rough-cast rendered. Slate roof with tile ridge; rendered end chimneys. Larger kitchen chimney to left (north). The symmetrical front fenestration is a little offset to the right to allow space for the large kitchen chimney at left. Well-proportioned four-pane C19 timber casement windows in exposed frames, stone sills. Decorative C19 rendered pilaster strip at left and right corners, and similar decorative render surround to the front door. C19 rear extension under a low-pitch roof.

Interior
Believed to be of typical layout with central lobby and stairs and with kitchen or living room to left, parlour to right.

Reason for designation
Listed as a little-altered C18 farmhouse retaining vernacular character.
