History
Early C19 lofted 11-bay shelter shed, built in two stages.
Exterior
4-bay and attached 7-bay shelter shed form 11-bay linear range, which is some 40m long and canted at NE end. Gently pitched slate roof with tile ridge. One bay of 4-bay shelter shed to SW is enclosed by C20 blockwork. Timber wall-plate supported on circular tapering rubble columns (one column partly collapsed). The rear elevation is blind, but the straight joint next to stone partition wall shows it was built in two stages.
Interior
Trusses have long raking collars bolted onto principal rafters, with one row of purlins.
Reason for designation
Included as an exceptionally long and well-preserved C19 shelter shed, having group value with the farmhouse and the listed farm buildings at Great Tre-rhew.
