History
Apparently early C19, and probably built together with No. 8 adjoining (qv). The house is little altered externally.

Exterior
Roughcast rendered and painted with a natural slate roof and red brick stack. Double depth plan with entrance to left of centre. Two storeys, four windows. Small pedimented doorcase with beading and 6-panelled door of which two are glazed; panelled reveals, console brackets to pediment. The door is in bay 2, otherwise the bays have plain 6 over 6 pane sashes, except for the right hand ground floor which is a smaller later window with a 2 over 2 pane sash. Plain low pitch roof with eaves on paired brackets and ridge stack to right. Plain spike wrought iron railings on dwarf stone wall, double gates, are attached to either end of the main elevation. Rear elevation not inspected.

Interior
Interior not inspected at resurvey, but a stick baluster stair and other early C19 joinery is said to remain in the hall.

Reason for designation
Included for its special interest as a well preserved early C19 house, which has retained its character and has group value with the other listed buildings in Pen-y-pound.
