Talacre Abbey was built 1824-9 by Thomas Jones, architect, for Sir Edward Mostyn, on the site of an earlier house. The steps to the lawn on the N side of the house are probably contemporary with the house.

Ashlar steps in 2 straight flights, with low balustrade and terminal piers, and flat copings.
Reason for designation
Listed as an integral component of the gardens at Talacre and important for its contribution to the setting of the house.
