History
Probably early C19 with bays added later. Photograph of 1902 shows scored render and 12-pane sashes. Was part of Herbert Lewis department store.  

Exterior
Georgian/early C20 frontage. Shop with accommodation above, attached at one side. Roughcast with eaves cornice and slate roof. Three storeys. Two-window range: top floor has former sashes replaced in UPVC, first floor has twin shallow rectangular bays with Gothic-arched lights, 3 to front and one each side. Ground floor shopfront with fluted pilasters and brackets supporting the fascia cornice; doorway to right. Long side elevation to lane with some sashes in reveals; at base some of the protective stones formerly installed to prevent wheels scoring the building. Rear windows replaced in UPVC.

Reason for designation
Listed as an originally Georgian building with later added bays and a good shopfront. Group value especially with number 13 adjacent, and other listed buildings in High Street.
