History
K6 type square, red kiosk of cast iron construction to the standard design of Giles Gilbert Scott, architect of London. Design introduced by GPO in 1936, this example after 1952.
Exterior
Cast iron and glass with a timber door. Domed roof with four lunettes containing Queen Elizabeth II crowns over red lettered opals and ventilation slits. Raised surrounds to door and sides with marginal glazing bars to horizontal glazing. Embossed foundry plate: ''Carron Foundry...(Falkirk)''.
