Location
Llechan-uchaf is in the Gyffin Valley some 2km NW of Henryd. The pigsties are built into a retaining wall above a field known as Cae Moch immediately to the rear of the farm courtyard.

History
There is no real dating evidence for these firmly vernacular structures, but they are likely to be no later than the later C18 and could be considerably earlier.
Exterior
A rough stone rubble retaining wall contains 8 entries to small rectangular stone lined cells or pigsties with corbelled flat stone roofs.
Reason for designation
Listed as a large group of exceptionally well-preserved pigsties of a vernacular type which is now rare.
