Situated on W side of lane from Plas-yn-Rhiw to Rhiw church, just N of Plas-yn-Rhiw.
History
Earlier C19 2-bay cartshed to Plas-yn-Rhiw, now owned by the National Trust. Not apparently marked on 1844 Tithe Map.
Exterior
Cartshed, rubble stone in squared blocks with hipped close-eaved slate roof. Single-storey with two full-height double ledged doors, long thin slab lintels and square pier between. Otherwise windowless.
Interior
Two-bay roof with wish-bone truss, partition wall.
Reason for designation
Included as an attractive small hipped outbuilding, of group value with Yr Hen Gapel ruins to N, and forming part of a complete group of service buildings at Plas yn Rhiw.
