Situated near top end of stepped terraced row.
Exterior
Circa 1850 terraced house, painted stucco, imitation slate roof and rendered N end stack. Basement and two-storey two-window range of wide 8-pane sashes, with vertical glazing bars only, moulded sill band, slate steps to basement. Door to left has two slate steps, four-panel door and arched head with unusual radiating tracery; fine painted timber open pedimented doorcase with fluted Corinthian columns, block entablatures and dentilled and modillioned pediment. Panelled reveals. Spearhead iron area railings with larger finials to four standards.
Reason for designation
Single terraced house included mainly for its exceptional doorcase and original railings.
Group value with Nos 42 and 44 opposite.
