Location
Set into continuous row of frontages stepped in the slope. At one time the Glanusk Estate Office.
Exterior
Late Georgian broad 2-storey and basement 3-window roughcast front to structure of probably C17 origin. Tall and steep pitch slate roof, 2 rubble chimney stacks, 1 heightened in brick, and 1 brick stack. Recessed small-pane sash windows, 12-pane to 1st floor, 16- and 8-pane to ground floor. Panelled door with pilastered doorcase.
2 cross ranges to rear facing New Road, 1 hipped with paired 12-pane sash windows, 1 gabled with ornamental bargeboards and 2-storey bay window with sash glazing below similar attic window, all with glazing bars.
Interior
Interior retains evidence of earlier structure with cross beams visible in most rooms. Roof construction has had tie beams and collars removed but retains ornate attic doorhead which is a regional feature. Narrow front wall passage, fireplace with large stone lintel concealed and staircase to rear; 2 safes to rear in former office retaining Glanusk name plates inside and made by Birmingham Safe Co Ltd.
