History
Farm ranges, probably C18. Some early C20 alterations, including the insertion of metal windows with ventilators. The S range was probably a cow-house originally, later converted to a dairy parlour. The front of the E range was rebuilt in the late C20.

Exterior
Two large ranges joined at the SW corner, both of 2 full storeys. The S range, facing N into the farmyard, is of white-washed brick under a corrugated asbestos roof. Openings, mainly with timber lintels, containing boarded doors and loft hatches, and metal windows with ventilators. From R end, ground floor has 2 doorways with split doors, a window, an infilled opening, a doorway with segmental brick head, 2 windows, a doorway with split doors, and to far L a window with segmental brick head. The tall loft storey has openings at different levels, not aligned with those below. From R, a boarded door, then a 2-light unglazed window immediately under the eaves. Towards the centre, 4 loft hatches, alternately under the eaves and at a lower level; 2 ventilation slits to L. The E gable end has a dovecote with ledges and holes, partly obscured by a lower cart-shed bay; this is also of white-washed brick under a corrugated asbestos roof, with wide cart opening to L, and 2 small infilled openings, vertically aligned, to R. Seen from interior of main range, the E gable end has 2 openings; the rear has a small opening. The W farm range faces E into the farmyard. The E front has been rebuilt in steel-framing, clad in timber boarding with wide steel doors, under a corrugated steel roof. The W side is of white-washed brick, with 3 doorways under segmental brick heads, and ventilation slits. Loft has 3 metal windows with flat heads, probably early C20. Adjoining the N gable end is a slightly lower 2-storey unit, possibly a former stable with accommodation over. Constructed of white-washed brick to E and W, under a slate roof, the N gable end of random stone. The E front has boarded door under cambered brick head to R; upper storey has 6-pane metal window. W side has boarded door to R under cambered brick head. N gable end has unglazed ground floor window with timber slats, the upper storey with shallow 2-light small-pane wooden window.

Interior
The interior of the S range retains its loft floor, the ground floor ceiling with shallow-chamfered cross-beams and joists. Mainly open-plan, but retaining part of a later brick partition. E range, partly seen, is probably 6-bay, with Queen-post trusses or tie-beam trusses with curved struts, all of pegged construction.

Reason for designation
Listed as unusually large farm ranges retaining their C18 agricultural character, and for group value with Ffynogion.
