Close to Pont Howell, on the E side of the canal.
Exterior
Built c1820 as part of a small residential development by the Powis Estate. Brick with rubble in rear wall; slate roof oversailing on plain eaves, with gable end stacks. 3 storeys, 3-window range with central entrance. 4-panelled door with overlight in architrave with entablature hood carried on console brackets. Windows throughout are 12-pane sashes with gauged brick heads. Mid C19 extension to left is 2-storeyed, with outer doorway and single window on each floor. 2-storeyed rubble wing to rear.
A fine early C19 town house retaining much of its original character and forming part of a distinctive group of similar houses (Nos 2-4 Clive Place).
