Location
Over the Cynllaith about 400 m west of Glascoed.
History
Probably a C17/C18 parish or hundred bridge, adopted and improved as a County bridge; its proximity suggests in origin it may be contemporary with Glascoed (early C17).
Exterior
A bridge of two arches, each of about 4 m span, in local stonework. Cutwater on the north side. The common masonry is slightly corbelled out from the voussoirs.
The carriageway is about 5 m wide with orthostat parapets about 900 mm high, terminating in a pier at each corner.
Reason for designation
A minor bridge of vernacular character, unusual in being a two-arch design; parapets characteristic of the county bridges of Thomas Penson.
