History
A fragment of a medieval cross shaft to which a sundial was added in the C18 or early C19.
Exterior
The freestone shaft has a square base with stopped angles. The octagonal tapering shaft, approximately 0.7m high, has a metal sundial plate on top. The gnomon is missing.
Reason for designation
Listed for its special historic interest as a rare surviving fragment of a medieval cross with well-preserved sundial, and for group value with the parish church.
