History
Medieval holy well, repaired c. 1989. The well was drawn in the early C19 by Charles Norris of Tenby, but was then lost to undergrowth. There was a chapel behind, now just retaining walls. The water is piped across the Cleddau for bottling as drinking water, and access to the interior not possible.
Exterior
Holy well chamber, rubble stone with rubble stone rough roof (formerly presumably stone-tiled or slated). Rectangular plan, exterior dimensions some 5m by 3m, with restored small pointed entry at W end, with stone voussoirs. Rear wall rebuilt in C20 with double-boarded doors and concrete arch.
Interior
Interior said to have rubble stone vault and benches around side.
Reason for designation
Included for its special historic interest as the largest surviving holy well in the region.
