Multi-purpose Farm Building at Esgair Llewelyn

Located to the E of the farmhouse.
History
Probably C18 and shown on the Tithe map of 1840.
Exterior
Barn with probable cow-house to lower end. Constructed of shaley rubble stone with limestone quoins, under a graded slate roof. Single doorway under a large slate lintel to barn, flanked by 2 tiers of ventilation slits. Second doorway to R end, also with large slate lintel; ventilation slit above, and loft hatch opening to its L. S gable end has loft hatch opening, now infilled with red brick, and ventilation slits to gable. N gable also has loft hatch with planked door. East side of range not seen.

Reason for designation
Listed as a well-preserved farm building of pre-1800, and for group value with Esgair Llewelyn Farmhouse.
