The list description is not intended to be a complete inventory of what is listed: it is principally intended to aid identification. By law, the definition of a listed building includes the entire building (i) and any structure or object that is fixed to the said building and ancillary to it and (ii) any other structure or object that forms part of the land and has done so since before 1 July 1948, and was within the curtilage of the building, and ancillary to it, on the date on which said building was first included in the list, or on 1 January 1969, whichever was later.

Corn-drying shed at Argoed Mill
Location
On the W side of the mill, set back from the road.
History
Argoed mill is shown on the 1840 Tithe map but the present building was built in 1878. The shed was built in the second half of the C19 and is shown on the 1889 Ordnance Survey.
Exterior
Rubble stone with slate roof. On the S side is a stone-segmental-headed doorway to the L end with replacement boarded door. To its R are double boarded doors below an overlight with inserted brickwork. Next R is a segmental-headed opening boarded up. In the R (E) gable end, where the ground level is lower, is a stone-segmental-headed basement doorway with boarded door.
Reason for designation
Listed for group value with the former Argoed Mill and associated buildings, and for its contribution to the overall historic character of Argoed hamlet.
