History
An early C19 farm building shown on the 1889 Ordnance Survey.
Exterior
A lofted stable on a sloping site, of coursed rubble stone with bigger quoins, and a graded-slate roof. The entrance in the NE gable end has a boarded door replaced in an original opening under a stone lintel. Beneath the apex is a loft opening infilled with corrugated iron. The L side wall has 2 windows replaced in original openings, and the rear gable end are a single replacement window and a loft opening glazed over.
Interior
The interior retains 2 wooden stalls and a small tack room.
Reason for designation
Listed for its special architectural interest as a well-preserved vernacular stable retaining definite regional character, and forming part of a strong farm group.
