History
Early/mid C19. Built as a pair with No. 23 but now very different in appearance. They are shown on John Wood's map of 1835 but must have been built very soon before its production.  

Exterior
Rendered and painted with Welsh slate roofs. Double depth plan with entry on right. Two storeys, three windows with the right hand two in a narrower bay over the door. Open pedimented doorcase with 6-panel door and plain transom light. The windows to the left of the door is are tall 6 over 6 pane sashes. The first floor has standard 6 over 6 pane sashes. All windows have hoodmoulds, with the main ground floor ones supported on small cherub figure brackets, and cills supported on decorated brackets. Modillion eaves cornice. Low pitch roof with stack to left gable and on wing to rear. Rear elevation not seen.  

Interior
Interior not seen at resurvey.  

Reason for designation
Included for its special architectural interest as a mid C19 house of definite character which is part of the important group of historic buildings near St. Mary's Church.
