History
House and shops, probably mid C19 with later C19 shopfronts, but with rear wing behind left side with C16 corbelled chimneybreast. In poor condition 2005. Shops at front said to have been a bed shop and a butcher's, and a cobbler's shop was in rear wing.  

Exterior
House and shops, dry-dash render with close-eaved slate roof. Three storeys, three-bay broad front with C20 plate glass sashes to upper floors, spaced one bay to left, two to right, and left sashes broader. Off-centre arched doorway in heavily moulded arched stucco frame, set between the first and second bays. Frame has moulded arch on two panelled pilasters, and panelled reveals. Three stone steps to door of 3 long panels and one horizontal panel below, and radiating-bar fanlight above. Sandstone steps and threshold. Larger c1900 shop to left has fielded-panelled piers each side and fascia with roller-blind framed by round-topped raised blocks. Large plate glass window to left, thin timber column and curved-glass pane canted canted-in to recessed part-glazed door with big square overlight. Single similar curved canted pane to right. Skirting below windows is faced with square green glazed tiles, and entry has black and white tile paving. Panelled soffit. Shop to right is former butcher's shop, slightly smaller with similar panelled piers, and fascia framed by raised brackets with rounded caps. Shop window to left of recessed door with big square overlight and panelled soffit and right reveal. Shop window is a very broad 4-pane sash with marble slab within. To right of shopfront is a square-headed entry to a through way to rear court. Rear has two gables, that to right rendered with two C20 plate glass windows, that to left with external chimneybreast and stone stack, slate-hung pier to right and cambered-headed small attic window. C20 first floor window over throughway. Narrow rear court flanked by two ranges in poor condition 2005. The lower range to right of two storeys with corrugated iron roof has ground floor of painted brick and render with three arched plate-glass sashes and a door to right, under an added plastered upper storey. The range to left has a short section close to rear of main range, then long range canted inward. Two storeys of rubble stone and a top storey of thin timber and plaster. Prominent first floor corbelled chimneybreast with brick shaft above at second floor level. Ground floor has blocked door to left of large flight of stone outside steps up to loft door with cambered brick head, window with similar head to left. To right of loft door first floor is much rebuilt in brick with two broad cambered headed openings. Ground floor has door with cambered brick head and small square window with oak lintel. Top floor has various windows in rough plastered wall.  

Interior
Interior not accessible except for ground floor right shop which has a painted tile panel of cows from former butcher's shop. Rear ranges are much altered, with most of the joists in left range of pine, earlier C19, but the ground floor closest to front range has two oak beams and some oak joists. Modern chimneypiece to fireplace of corbelled chimney in floor above.
