History
Mid C19 house in irregular row. The Parade was laid out in 1782 and lined with trees in 1800. There are references to new houses in the 1830s and 1840s, the 1834 map shows a detached building roughly on the site of Nos 6-7 and a view of 1874 shows villas. No 6 is much lower and presumably earlier than the adjoining late C19 pair Nos 7-8. Nos 3-5 were a big earlier C19 3-storey terrace demolished c1987and replaced by Ty Rhys sheltered housing.

Exterior
Terraced house, painted stucco, with slate roof and boxed eaves. Two-storey, 4-window range, upper floor with 3 plate-glass sashes, third bay from left being blank. Ground floor with 2 plate glass sashes to left, then doorway, and at right, segmentally-headed vehicular entry with ledged doors. House door 5-panelled, with moulded panelled reveals, shallow overlight and flat-topped wooden trellis porch with depressed arch between lattice panels, and cornice with roundels in frieze. Modern brick base. Iron railings with uprights set diamond-wise with spiked finials; square standards with urn finials; iron gate of similar design but with oval foils between bottom rails.

Interior
Interior not inspected but said to contain five-panelled doors, staircase with straight balusters and moulded handrail.

Reason for designation
Included as an earlier C19 villa, part of the development of the Parade as a fashionable residential area.
