The monument comprises the remains of a round barrow or burial cairn, and stone circle, probably dating to the Bronze Age (c.2300 BC - 800 BC). The barrow lies to the southwest of Capel Hiraethog Earth Circle (DE043), and close to the confluence of several streams. It has a diameter of c.6.5m, and stands up to 0.6m high. A central hollow indicates historic disturbance. Formerly the barrow was surrounded by a stone circle, but this was destroyed in the early 20th century, leaving only three remaining stones lying to the S, NW and NNE. The monument is of national importance for its potential to enhance our knowledge of prehistoric burial and ritual. The monument is an important relic of a prehistoric funerary and ritual landscape and retains significant archaeological potential, with a strong probability the presence of both intact burial or ritual deposits and environmental and structural evidence, including a buried prehistoric land surface. The scheduled area comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related evidence may be expected to survive. It is circular and measures 25m in diameter.
