The following provides a general description of the Scheduled Monument. The monument comprises the remains of two round barrows, probably dating to the Bronze Age (c.2300 BC - 800 BC) and situated within improved pasture on the Dyfi valley floor. The northernmost barrow, Item A, is a grass-covered earthen mound, circular on plan and measuring 20m in diameter and up to 0.6m in height. The southernmost barrow, Item B, is a grass-covered earthen mound, circular on plan and measuring 21m in diameter and up to 0.8m in height. The monument is of national importance for its potential to enhance our knowledge of prehistoric burial and ritual. The monument is an important relic of a prehistoric funerary and ritual landscape and retains significant archaeological potential, with a strong probability the presence of both intact burial or ritual deposits and environmental and structural evidence, including a buried prehistoric land surface. Its survival within an area of improved agriculture is also very rare and further enhances its importance. The areas scheduled comprise the remains described and areas around them within which related evidence may be expected to survive. Area A (SH 7516 0215) is circular and measures 30m in diameter. Area B (SH 7513 0204) is circular and measures 30m in diameter.
